Katherine Senior and Matthew Parish formed Tilted Wig Productions in 2017.

We have over 17 years' experience producing and touring plays throughout the UK both as Tilted Wig and Creative Cow – a Devon-based theatre company we co-founded in 2007.  Over this time we have taken over 20 productions out on the road. 

​

From the very beginning of our careers as actors touring the depths of the British countryside, setting up shows in pubs and skittle alleys – and wherever anyone would take us – we have worked hard to create an ensemble of actors, crew and creatives.

Our shows now tour to some of the biggest theatres in the UK, yet that same ethos is still the driving force behind Tilted Wig Productions.

 

Whether Tilted Wig is producing a classic play or an exciting new adaptation, for each production we aim to bring together a vibrant and innovative creative team.

We thrive to work in a collaborative way for each project. We're a family friendly company and want people to feel they can ask about access requirements including childcare as well as other barriers they may face right from the start of the process ie audition stage.

​

Over the years we  have formed strong relationships with top venues all over the country, and with our inaugural production of GREAT EXPECTATIONS we were proud to co-produce for the very first time with Malvern Theatres.

​

Spring 2019 saw us co produce with Malvern Theatres again and also Churchill Theatre, Bromley on a nationwide tour of Oscar Wilde's THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY.

Last Autumn we produced with Malvern and Bromley again on brand new tour of Philip Meeks' play about Agatha Christie and Margaret Rutherford,  MURDER, MARGARET AND ME.

​

We were delighted to be touring LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER at the beginning of 2020...it turned out to be the worst time to take a tour out. The whole company was devastated to lose such a beautiful show, so early on it's life. The company recorded an online version of the play using the Zoom platform which was at least a way for audiences and friends and family to see the show.

In 2021 we took out  THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW on a 15 week tour which took us in 2022. It was a great process bringing this original adaptation by Philip Meeks to the stage. It was a great success and we were incredibly proud of everyone involved that we were able to complete the tour in such uncertain times. 

​

Spring 2023 was about biggest tour to date. Touring the UK for 25 weeks AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS  was our first family friendly show which originated at York Theatre Royal in 2020.

​

Autumn 2023 we toured a brand new telling of Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN adapted & directed  by our long term collaborator, Seán Aydon. 

This spring 2024 we're delighted to take out the classic comedy THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL  on a major UK tour. Co produced with Malvern Theatres in association with Theatre by the Lake, Keswick.
