Help Us Take Spitfire Girls to London & New York
✈️🎭
Spitfire Girls began as a story about courage, family, and the women who stepped forward when history called.
Through the relationship between two sisters and the extraordinary legacy of the women of the Air Transport Auxiliary, the play honours a generation whose contribution shaped the outcome of the war — and whose stories deserve to be shared widely.
This marks the third outing for Spitfire Girls.
The production first opened in 2025 to critical acclaim and standing ovations. Its development and initial tour were supported by Arts Council Lottery funding, enabling the creative team to bring the story to the stage and reach audiences across the UK.
In 2026, the production tours again to a further 11 UK venues, and in 2027 is scheduled to transfer to Chichester, London and New York — an exciting and significant next chapter in the life of the play.
Why We Need Your Support Now
While we are grateful for the support received during the development and first tour, the 2026 tour and all subsequent outings receive no public funding.
Spitfire Girls is now an entirely independently produced production, relying solely on box office income and private investment to continue.
Although box office support has enabled the show to grow, tour, and build momentum, an extended UK tour and international transfer require significant upfront costs that ticket sales alone cannot cover.
We cannot make this next stage of the journey without investment.
Your support will help fund:
-
The transfer to London and New York
-
Travel and accommodation for cast and creative team
-
Marketing and audience outreach in the UK and internationally
-
Maintaining the quality, historical integrity, and production standards audiences expect
-
Build on the wraparound and outreach work we were able to do on the 2025 tour with ACE support to reach younger audiences.
By investing now, you are enabling the long-term future of the production and helping ensure these stories continue to be told.
Becoming Part of the Transfer
We want to recognise those who make this journey possible.
Depending on your level of investment, incentives include:
-
Your name listed in the programme as a supporter of the transfer
-
Complimentary programmes from the London or New York run
-
Opportunities to meet the cast and creative team
-
Behind-the-scenes tours of the venue
-
Invitations to opening night drinks
-
VIP rehearsal or backstage access
-
Having your name permanently associated with the transfer of Spitfire Girls.
-
Every contribution plays a direct role in carrying this production forward.
Why This Matters
Independent touring companies survive because audiences choose to invest in the stories that move them.
If Spitfire Girls resonated with you — through the bond between the sisters, the courage of the ATA pilots, or the legacy they left behind — we invite you to help take this story into its next and most ambitious chapter.
